Couples Therapy

Helping partners understand the patterns shaping their relationship.

When Conversations Keep Going in Circles

Most couples don’t come to therapy because they don’t care about each other.

They come because the conversations that once felt easy have started to feel frustrating, repetitive, or emotionally charged.

Arguments repeat. Misunderstandings build. Both partners may begin to feel unheard or misunderstood.

Couples therapy helps slow those patterns down so they can be understood more clearly.

A Space Where Both Partners Are Heard

My role in couples therapy is not to take sides or determine who is right.

Instead, I help both partners step back and look at the patterns shaping their interactions — the misunderstandings, assumptions, and emotional reactions that can quietly drive conflict.

When those patterns become visible, couples often begin to understand each other in ways that were difficult before.
This understanding can make new conversations possible.

What Couples Often Seek Help With

Couples come to therapy for many different reasons, including:

  • communication breakdowns
  • recurring arguments
  • emotional distance or disconnection
  • rebuilding trust
  • navigating major life changes together

Sometimes the goal is repair. Sometimes it is clarity about how to move forward.

How Couples Therapy Works

Couples therapy is a structured conversation involving both partners.

Sessions focus on understanding how each person experiences the relationship and how those experiences shape the patterns between them.

Rather than simply managing arguments, the goal is to understand the underlying dynamics that keep those arguments repeating.

Online Sessions

All couples sessions are conducted online.

Meeting online allows both partners to join from wherever they feel comfortable, without the logistical challenges of travel or scheduling around busy lives.

In practice, couples often find that meaningful conversations translate very well to an online setting.

Request a Consult

If you feel that speaking together may be helpful, you are welcome to get in touch. Consultations are simply an opportunity to discuss whether therapy may be helpful. There is no obligation to continue beyond that conversation.
