Hypnosis Orientation

Hypnosis is a natural phenomenon that occurs in all instances of learning. It is simply the mind opening itself to making changes.

It occurs naturally throughout life, so know with confidence you are able to be hypnotized because you’ve been hypnotized by many things many times.

You’ve been hypnotized by movies, your parents, your teachers, your friends… And now you’ve decided to be hypnotized on purpose, intentionally, and for your own best interests.

It can feel like a daydream, or it can feel like your regular state.

You are required to listen to all 23 minutes of the attached hypnosis training audio at least 3 times – to teach your brain and unconscious mind how important this is for you.

Preparing for Your Hypnotherapy Sessions

Thank you for booking your hypnotherapy sessions.

This page will help you understand how the process works and how to prepare so that you get the most from the experience.

What Hypnosis Is

Clinical hypnosis is a focused state of attention in which your mind becomes more receptive to new ideas, patterns, and ways of responding.

It is a natural state — similar to being absorbed in a thought, a memory, or a task.

You remain aware of what is happening and are able to respond at any time.

What Hypnosis Is Not

Hypnosis is not sleep, and it is not mind control.

You cannot be made to do anything against your will.

The process works by working with your mind — not overriding it.

How the Process Works

Your sessions are structured and intentional.

The initial sessions focus on:

  • understanding the pattern you want to change
  • preparing your mind and attention
  • introducing hypnosis in a controlled and effective way

Hypnosis is not treated as a one-time event, but as a process developed over multiple sessions.

Session Structure

Each session will typically include:

  • a brief discussion of your progress and focus
  • preparation and relaxation
    the hypnosis process itself
  • a gradual return to normal awareness

Sessions are 90 minutes in length and are delivered as part of a structured series.

Common Areas of Focus

Hypnotherapy is often used to work with:

  • unconscious habits and behavioural patterns
  • anxiety and stress responses
  • sleep disturbances
  • chronic pain
  • self-esteem and confidence
  • recurring thoughts or dreams

Important Expectations

Hypnotherapy is not designed as a single-session solution.

Your initial sessions are structured as a series so that we can determine whether hypnosis is the right approach for you and apply it effectively.

Preparation Instructions

How to Prepare

For best results, please ensure:

  • you are in a quiet, uninterrupted space
  • your phone is silenced
  • your camera is positioned at eye level
  • your head and neck are supported (chair or couch)
  • you are not holding your device

Using headphones is recommended.

Your Role in the Process

Hypnosis works best when you are willing to engage with the process.

You do not need to “try hard” or force anything to happen.

Simply follow the instructions and allow the experience to unfold.

Consistency across sessions is important.

Between Sessions

You may be given specific suggestions or recordings to listen to between sessions.

Following these instructions consistently will improve the effectiveness of the work.

Camera Setup Instructions

Sessions are conducted online and require a stable, distraction-free setup.

Please ensure:

  • your camera is positioned at eye level (similar to a passport photo)
your face is clearly visible (not shadowed or backlit)
you are not holding your device in your hand
your device is stable (use a stand, tripod, or books if needed)

Avoid sitting with a bright window behind you, as this will make your face difficult to see.
